Scanning a document into Word

The following will give step by step instructions on how to scan a document in Word.

STEP 1
When you scan a document, you may use the Microsoft Office Document Imaging so that you can edit the document that you have scanned using Word.

You must first intall the Microsoft Office Document Imaging on your computer. Follow the steps on how to install it.

Go to Start menu and click on the Control Panel.

Then click on Add or Remove Programs.

On the pop-up, select Change or Remove Programs and choose the Microsoft Office System.

After choosing the Microsoft Office System, click on Change.

A configuration wizard will pop up. Click on the Add or Remove Features and click continue.

Click on the plus sign (+) beside Office Tools.

Choose Micorsoft Office Digital Imaging and click on Run all from my computer then click Continue.

When the Microsoft Office Document Imaging is installed, you can use this to be able to edit scanned documents in Word. Follow these steps to get your documents ready for editing.

Go to Start menu and mouse-over on the All Programs.Click on the Microsoft Office and go to Microsoft Office Tools.

Click on the Microsoft Office Document Imaging.

When it opens, click on the File menu and choose Open.

Look for the scanned images that you have and Click Open.

When the document runs, press CTRl + A on your keyboard.

Then, press CTRL + C. Open you MS Word.

On a new MS Word document, press CTRL + V and you may start editing your scanned image in Word.
